Seminar on Open Government

On Monday 5, March TI-NZ hosted a seminar on 'Open Government.'

Keitha Booth, Programme Leader, NZ Open Government Data and Information Programme, described the programme and its achievements, in particular the Declaration on Open and Transparent Government and the NZ Government Open Access and Licensing framework (NZGOAL). She discussed actions by government agencies to implement the Declaration. The current focus is on releasing Government's high value public data that people, communities, and businesses want to use and re-use.

Transparency International New Zealand (TINZ) submitted recommendations for New Zealand’s second Open Government Partnership (OGP) National Action Plan (NAP).
