Integrity Plus 2013 New Zealand
National Integrity System Assessment

TINZ Will be releasing the Integrity Plus 2013 New Zealand National Integrity System Assessment on 9 December 2013 in conjunction with International Anti-Corruption Day.

In 2012 and 2013 Transparency International New Zealand undertook New Zealand's second National Integrity System Assessment. This study was designed to be more comprehensive, more consultative and more effective than its first NIS published 10 years ago. It has proceeded from a strict assessment into an active implementation phase. This project is a substantial commitment on the part of TINZ and its partners to create a definitive roadmap for a corruption intolerant New Zealand.

The NIS determines that while New Zealand's national integrity systems remain fundamentally strong, there are weaknesses and increasing challenges. It makes seven major recommendations for strengthening New Zealand.
