TINZ Accreditation 2018

Every three years, the global body, Transparency International, reviews the accreditation of its member chapters. Transparency International New Zealand (TINZ) will undergo re-accreditation during the first half of 2018 with the final Membership Accreditation Committee (MAC) Meeting scheduled for the 8th of May 2018. Hon Clare Curran Interviewed by Mark Sainsbury

Member of Parliament Claire Curran interviewed by Mark Sainsbury.

Curran has the  portfolios of Minister of Broadcasting, Communications, and Digital Media and Minister for Government Digital Services along with an associate portfolio for the State Services Commission.

In this audio interview Curran commits to transparency and expresses willingness to work with Transparency International New Zealand for better practices around transparency.  She also acknowledges the need for conversations about the Protected Disclosures Act

TINZ 2017 Annual General Meeting

TINZ connects with Taiwan’s Audrey Tang to accelerate transparency

Audrey Tang visited New Zealand in the last week of September as a keynote speaker for the Social Enterprise World Forum (SEWF) held in Christchurch. She is the Digital Minister (Taiwan) and is in charge of Social Enterprise.  She is known world-wide for revitalizing global open source communities such as Perl and Haskell. TINZ governance changes

A number of TINZ governance changes were approved at the July Board meeting. They include: James Brown was elected as TINZ Deputy Chair Conway Powell was appointed as Interim Director, replacing Janine McGruddy The Board accepted Daniel King’s formal resignation as a Director Brendon Wilson was appointed as Interim Director, replacing Daniel King. {read more…}

Janine McGruddy becomes TINZ CEO
