Director

Anne French is a consultant, principally in strategy and funding for clients in the innovation system. Recent non-innovation work for clients includes work on the cybercrime risk landscape for NZ Police and a national strategic cybersecurity risk assessment for DPMC. She has also done operational strategy work for NZ Customs. She worked on the Digital Strategy (1.0 and 2.0) for New Zealand, and various related innovation strategy documents for ministers in the Helen Clark government. She founded her consultancy business in 2000.

Contract roles include Establishment Director of the Centre for Asia-Pacific Excellence (North Asia); associate at NZIER; special research adviser to the Dean of Engineering, University of Auckland; Strategy Manager and International Relationships Manager for FRST; Managing Editor of New Zealand Strategic Management (a quarterly peer-reviewed journal published by the NZ Strategic Management Society), and New Zealand Publisher for Oxford University Press.
