Banking Ombudsman reports on banking complaints

The Banking Ombudsman Scheme has updated their complaints dashboard with publication of data from the first three months of 2022.

In announcing the updated data  they note that complaints to banks about lending-related matters fell markedly in the first three months of the year.

Banking Ombudsman Nicola Sladden also announced new features for the dashboard that “‘will result in more transparency about the nature and extent of problems in the sector, and how banks respond to them.”

For the quarter there were 9,125 complaints against ANZ Bank which was 41.2% of the complaints received from 29.8% of the marketplace. To their credit, ANZ is by far the fastest to resolve complaints among the eight largest banks.
