In March the TINZ Board met to talk strategy. While the Board meets mostly online due to constrained finances and geographic spread, once a year Directors gather to discuss the corruption environment in New Zealand, and to think about where TINZ can have the most impact.
Corruption has broad reach, and to have any effective impact TINZ has to target its volunteer energy, paid resources and collaboration.
For this year and into next year TINZ will be working on these outcomes:
- More transparent public spending and fair processes
- More accountable decision making
- Enhancing good business practice which is fairer for all
- Strategic collaborative corruption prevention
- Partnerships improve ethical practice and expectations
- Pacific people empowered with knowledge
In the image below, the thematic areas in the circles reflect the strategy of our global movement, adapted for the New Zealand context and the Board's priorities.
